While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Israeli strike kills Indonesian Hospital director in Gaza, prompting outcry over attacks on medics

Wednesday 2-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan, director of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, was martyred on Wednesday when an Israeli airstrike targeted his home near the 17th intersection west of Gaza City. Several members of his family were also martyred in the strike.

In an official statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza condemned the killing as “a new heinous crime” and part of an ongoing campaign of systematic attacks against medical and humanitarian personnel since the start of the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.

“This crime is a continuation of the bloody methodology and premeditated targeting of medical workers,” the ministry said. It hailed Dr. Al-Sultan as “a symbol of dedication, steadfastness, and loyalty” who stood on the frontlines in some of the darkest moments of the aggression.

Dr. al-Sultan was one of Gaza’s most respected physicians and played a crucial leadership role at the Indonesian Hospital, which has been instrumental in treating thousands of patients wounded by Israeli occupation forces, particularly during the recent escalations.

His martyrdom comes amid an intensifying Israeli campaign against Gaza’s already fragile health system. Dozens of hospitals and clinics have been destroyed or rendered inoperable, and medical professionals continue to be systematically targeted—often killed in their homes or while on duty—despite protections afforded to them under international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.

The Indonesian Hospital itself has been the target of repeated Israeli assaults, even as it tried to function under siege conditions with minimal resources, overcrowding, and no safe evacuation routes.

Human rights organizations and medical bodies have repeatedly warned that the targeting of healthcare workers and infrastructure amounts to war crimes.

The killing of Dr. Al-Sultan, a senior and high-profile figure in Gaza’s medical community, has further heightened concerns about the deliberate dismantling of the Strip’s health system.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, backed by the United States, has been carrying out a campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths or injuries of over 191,000 Palestinians, the majority of them children and women. More than 11,000 remain missing, and hundreds of thousands have been forcibly displaced, as basic services, including healthcare, continue to collapse under sustained assault.

Hamas: Indonesian Hospital Director’s assassination is crime against humanity

Wednesday 2-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Hamas Movement has condemned the horrific crime carried out by the Israeli occupation army against the home of Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan, Director of the Indonesian Hospital, which led to his martyrdom along with his wife and five of their children.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Movement asserted that “the occupation army continues its deliberate targeting and destruction of the healthcare system, and the assassination of its staff, doctors, and paramedics in unprecedented atrocities in modern times.”

Hamas emphasized the urgent need for action to halt the occupation, put an end to its heinous violations, and bring its leaders to international courts to hold them accountable for their crimes against humanity.

Dr. Al-Sultan was one of the most prominent doctors operating in northern Gaza, playing a crucial role in managing the Indonesian Hospital, which served as the first line of defense in receiving those injured by Israeli attacks, especially during recent escalations.

This crime comes amid the ongoing targeting of the healthcare system in Gaza, which is facing a severe collapse due to the continuous blockade, destruction of hospitals, and systematic assassination and targeting of medical personnel, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.

UNRWA: Hunger is being weaponized in Gaza

Wednesday 2-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

UNRWA has said that hunger is being used as a weapon in the Gaza Strip, with many people losing consciousness in the streets due to lack of food and insufficient drinking water.

“In Gaza, hunger is being weaponized. People are fainting in the streets from hunger. There is not enough water to drink,” UNRWA said on social media on Wednesday.

“The siege must be lifted. Safe, UN-led aid delivery, including UNRWA, must be urgently reinstated,” the agency added.

According to UNRWA, there used to be 400 aid distribution points across the Gaza Strip, coordinated by the UN, including UNRWA, and other humanitarian organizations.

“The current GHF scheme is degrading. Starving people have to go many miles only to get very little food – and on top of that they get shot at,” UNRWA said in other social media remarks.

“Aid must be distributed close to the most vulnerable communities: women, children, the wounded, the disabled,” UNRWA added.

“The siege must be lifted and the UN must be allowed to do its work,” it stressed.

169 NGOs call for halt to US-Israeli backed aid distribution system in Gaza

Wednesday 2-July-2025

NEW YORK, (PIC)

A group of 169 aid and rights organizations have called for shutting down the US- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) and accused Israeli forces and their mercenaries of “routinely” opening fire on Palestinians seeking aid.

Some of the world’s most noted charitable and rights organizations, including Oxfam, Amnesty International and Save the Children, said in a joint statement on Monday that more than 500 Palestinians had been killed and almost 4,000 injured in less than four weeks while trying to obtain food from GHF in Gaza.

They accused GHF of forcing starved and weakened civilians to trek through dangerous terrain and active conflict zones to reach the militarized distribution sites, where they have to “fight” for limited food supplies in “chaotic enclosures.”

“These areas have become sites of repeated massacres in blatant disregard for international humanitarian law,” they said in their statement.

The NGOs urged a return to the UN-led aid mechanism that existed in the war-torn territory before Israel imposed a full blockade on international humanitarian assistance entering Gaza.

“NGOs call for immediate action to end the deadly Israeli distribution scheme (including the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation) in Gaza,” the organizations wrote in their joint statement on June 30.

In a related context, Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) said that the death toll of hungry civilians who were shot dead by Israeli gunfire at or near US-backed distribution points in Gaza climbed to 580 martyrs, with 4,200 people injured and 39 others missing.

In a statement on Wednesday, GMO accused GHF of orchestrating the systematic killing of starving civilians at its aid distribution sites.

GAZA, July 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

The ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip has claimed the lives of 57,012 Palestinians, with nearly 134,592 reported wounded since October 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

"Among the casualties are 6,454 deaths and 22,551 injuries reported since March 18, when Israel resumed its military campaign after a short-lived ceasefire."

In the past 24 hours alone, 142 Palestinians were killed—including three whose bodies were retrieved from the rubble—and 487 others were injured, as Israel intensified its attacks across the besieged enclave.

The Ministry reported that rescue teams and civil defense crews are struggling to reach victims, with many still trapped under the rubble or lying in the streets due to the ongoing shelling.

The toll from attacks on Palestinians seeking humanitarian aid has also surged. Over the last 24 hours, 39 civilians were killed and more than 210 wounded while attempting to access aid. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed while searching for food or relief to 640, with 4,488 others injured.

Dozens of Gazans massacred amid ongoing Israeli genocide

Wednesday 2-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continued, last night and on Wednesday, to carry out deadly attacks on different areas of the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring dozens of civilians.

Gaza’s starving children: Global lawmakers call for urgent action to stop Israeli genocide

Wednesday 2-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Parliamentarians for Jerusalem and Palestine Association has issued an urgent international appeal to save Gaza’s children from what it describes as an unfolding genocide.

The call was directed at parliamentary leaders, regional and global legislative bodies, and international human rights organizations, urging swift and decisive action as the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza deepens.

Citing on-the-ground reports, including an alert by the International Justice Forum Against Genocide, the Association warned that over 60,000 children in Gaza are suffering from severe malnutrition and a collapse of basic health services.

With the near-total absence of baby formula, therapeutic food, and medical care, infant deaths due to hunger and lack of treatment have been documented.

In its press statement on Wednesday, the Association asserted that the situation in Gaza constitutes a war crime under international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

It held Israel fully responsible for deliberately using starvation as a weapon of war and blocking the entry of food and medical supplies to Gaza’s besieged population.

The Association urged parliaments and international legislative organizations to issue public condemnations of the starvation tactics and to demand the opening of sustained humanitarian corridors.

It also called on governments to support emergency child nutrition programs, send infant formula and supplements, and launch parliamentary delegations or send unified appeals to the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and UNICEF to activate an immediate rescue plan for Gaza’s children.

The statement concluded with a stern warning: “International silence and inaction in the face of this unfolding genocide amount to complicity.”

It called on the global community to fulfill its humanitarian, legal, and moral obligations by standing with the Palestinian people and confronting the Israeli occupation over what it described as one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history.

UNICEF echoed the alarm last week, reporting that some 470,000 children in Gaza have been living in near-famine conditions since March. The UN agency stressed that “there is no alternative to direct pressure” to ensure immediate access to food and humanitarian aid.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel—backed by the United States—has waged a genocidal campaign in the Gaza Strip marked by widespread killings, mass displacement, systematic starvation, and the obliteration of civilian infrastructure.

Israel has defied repeated international appeals and binding orders from the International Court of Justice to cease its assault.

To date, the genocide has left nearly 190,000 Palestinians martyred or wounded—most of them women and children. More than 11,000 remain missing, while hundreds of thousands have been forcibly displaced. Famine has already claimed numerous lives, especially among children, amid the near-total collapse of health and aid systems.

Palestinian detainee loses mobility due to severe torture in Israeli prison

RAMALLAH, July 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) stated that administrative detainee Mu'hammed Naseem Abul-'Izz, 19, from Jericho—who has been held since February of last year—was repeatedly subjected to torture and severe beatings in the Negev Desert prison, which led to his loss of mobility.

In a statement issued today, the PPS explained that over the past period, Abu Al-Ezz experienced a rapid deterioration in his health due to the continuous abuse he endured. His condition worsened to the point where he could no longer meet his basic needs, necessitating his transfer to a hospital. There, he underwent a delicate back surgery at Soroka Medical Center.

He was later transferred to what is known as the "Ramla Prison Clinic," where he is now suffering from a physical disability affecting the lower part of his body.

The PPS clarified that Abul-'Izz had no prior health issues before his detention and is now another victim of the systematic torture practices imposed on prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention camps. '

These practices are carried out by the Israeli prison system through continuous and organized methods, tools, and procedures.

Torture has been a central cause of the deaths of dozens of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons and camps since the beginning of the ongoing genocide.

IOFs kidnap several Palestinians in West Bank raids

Wednesday 2-July-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank last night and at dawn Wednesday.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped 14 citizens following raids on homes in different areas of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) province, including Al-Duhaisha refugee camp, 'Husan village, and Al-Khadhir town.

Another citizen was taken prisoner during an IOFs raid in Al-Khaleel (Hebron) City. The IOFs reportedly set up checkpoints and blocked roads at the entrances of Al-Khaleel (Hebron) City and nearby towns, villages and refugee camps.

In Nablus, the Israeli occupation soldiers assaulted an ex-detainee called Qutayba 'Azem, from Sebastya town, before taking him to an unknown place.

Last night, a young man was seriously injured by IOF gunfire in Sebastya town, northwest of Nablus.

The IOFs also broke into and ransacked several homes and assaulted some local residents, including a child and a young woman, during its raid in Sebastya.

The IOFs raided homes in other areas of the West Bank last night and at dawn, with no additional kidnappings reported.

Prisoner’s Society: Number of Palestinian journalists held under administrative detention rises to 22

RAMALLAH, July 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

Twenty-two journalists are now being held under administrative detention in Israeli prisons, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS), which reported an ongoing escalation by the Israeli occupation authorities in targeting journalists under the pretext of so-called “secret files.”

PPs noted that the most recent case involves journalist Ahmad Al-Khatib, who was issued a six-month administrative detention order.

These 22 are among 55 journalists currently held in Israeli prisons, 49 of whom have been detained since the beginning of the ongoing genocide.

PPS indicated that since the onset of the genocide, at least 192 cases of journalist detentions have been documented.

It further noted that the increase in the number of journalists held under administrative detention coincides with an unprecedented surge in the overall number of administrative detainees, which reached 3,562 as of early June 2025.

According to PPS, the Israeli occupation uses these detentions as a means to silence journalists, suppress their efforts to expose ongoing atrocities, undermine the Palestinian narrative, and impose greater censorship and control over media activity.

The statement cited the case of Nidal Abu Akar, a journalist from Bethlehem and one of the longest-serving administrative detainees. He has been imprisoned since August 1, 2022, and has previously spent around 20 years in Israeli prisons, most of them under administrative detention.

In addition to administrative detention, Israeli authorities continue to target journalists on charges of so-called “incitement” on social media. This form of detention has become a tool for silencing free speech and expression and is increasingly used as another manifestation of the broader policy of administrative detention.

The majority of those detained on charges of “incitement,” against whom the occupation was unable to file an indictment, were later transferred to administrative detention.

PPS added that detained journalists are subjected to the same violations faced by all Palestinian prisoners, including systematic torture, severe beatings, starvation, and medical neglect, as well as continuous humiliation and abuse. They are held under harsh and degrading conditions, further stripped of their rights and subjected to ongoing collective punishment.

Those settlers hurled stones at the village’s homes for the second consecutive time today, chief of the village council Jihad Al-Nawaj'a reported.

The Susya villagers live under constant threat from settlers and have been forced to abandon their work and remain in the village to protect their families and property, according to Al-Nawaj'a.

Last Monday, settlers attacked the village and destroyed about 200 olive trees belonging to a local resident.

UN: Gaza facing collapse as Israeli attacks leave families without shelter or means to survive

Wednesday 2-July-2025

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The United Nations has issued a renewed warning about the deteriorating conditions in Gaza, stressing that the besieged territory is suffering from a severe lack of shelter and livelihood opportunities due to ongoing Israeli attacks.

In a statement published Wednesday on its official website, the UN documented a series of Israeli violations against civilians in Gaza since Sunday, including repeated strikes on school buildings sheltering displaced families.

“Many families who had taken refuge in schools bombed by Israel have returned to the northern Gaza Strip, largely because they have nowhere else to go,” the UN said, highlighting the near-total absence of alternative housing and means of survival.

According to the statement, five school buildings sheltering displaced civilians in northern Gaza were bombed by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in just the past 48 hours, resulting in deaths and injuries.

The IOF continues to issue frequent evacuation orders across Gaza under the pretext of rocket fire, often followed within minutes by deadly airstrikes—sometimes even before residents can flee.

These tactics have intensified recently under the latest phase of the Israeli military operation, dubbed “Gideon’s Chariots,” which Israeli officials claim is aimed at defeating Hamas and advancing their forced displacement plan.

As a result, the IOF now controls roughly 77% of the Gaza Strip. Most residents of Gaza City’s eastern and central areas have been ordered to evacuate westward, then south toward the Al-Mawasi zone—already overcrowded and lacking basic infrastructure.

Over the past several months, dozens of such evacuation orders have forced mass displacement, leaving Palestinians crammed into less than 18% of the territory, according to United Nations reports.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said that Israeli operations have “intensified” following Sunday’s evacuation orders, displacing at least 1,500 families from both the northern Gaza Strip and eastern Gaza governorate.

He warned of “dwindling humanitarian assistance and basic services, which increasingly deprive Gaza’s population of the means to survive.”

Dujarric stressed that the current conditions are “an alarm bell that requires urgent action to open all crossings and facilitate humanitarian operations, including the delivery of essential life-saving supplies.”

Since October 7, 2023, Israel—with direct support from the United States—has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip. This campaign has included mass killing, starvation, displacement, and systematic destruction, in open defiance of repeated international appeals and legally binding orders from the International Court of Justice.

To date, the genocide has left approximately 191,000 Palestinians martyred or wounded—most of them women and children—and more than 11,000 remain missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced.

Doctors Without Borders warns of escalating humanitarian crisis in West Bank

Wednesday 2-July-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières – MSF) has confirmed a sharp escalation in humanitarian needs across the West Bank, five months after the beginning of the Israeli military operation.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the organization highlighted that more than 40,000 people in the northern West Bank remain forcibly displaced and are struggling to access basic and healthcare services.

MSF noted that Israeli forces continue their widespread destruction and occupation of refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nur Shams.

The Israeli occupation army continues its assault on Tulkarem and its refugee camp for the 157th consecutive day.

Meanwhile, a wide-scale offensive on Jenin and its camp has resulted in the displacement of nearly 22,000 residents from the camp and its surrounding areas, the killing of 40 Palestinians, and the injury of over 200 others.

Euro-Med: Israel is carrying out a depopulation plan in Gaza

Wednesday 2-July-2025

GENEVA, (PIC)

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has condemned Israel’s ongoing campaign of forced displacement in the Gaza Strip, describing it as a deliberate policy aimed at depopulating over 85 percent of Gaza through successive military evacuation orders and widespread destruction.

Since March 18, 2025, following the collapse of a temporary ceasefire, the Israeli military has issued 51 evacuation orders forcing nearly one million Palestinians to flee their homes. These orders have covered large swaths of Gaza, including eastern and southern Gaza City and parts of the northern Strip, leaving residents trapped amid relentless bombardment, starvation, and no safe refuge, according to a report issued by Euro-Med on Wednesday

The report details Israel’s use of bombing, bulldozing, deliberate starvation, and destruction of civilian infrastructure as tools to drive Palestinians into less than 15 percent of Gaza’s territory, in preparation for mass expulsion beyond the enclave.

“The pattern of forced evacuation orders, widespread killings, destruction, and the deliberate use of starvation are all integral parts of an Israeli plan clearly advancing toward its final objective: the mass expulsion of Palestinians from their land, particularly beyond the Gaza Strip,” Euro-Med said.

Euro-Med warned that these Israeli actions, carried out without any military necessity or justification, constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and potentially genocide.

Testimonies obtained by Euro-Med describe civilians fleeing under continuous shelling with nowhere safe to hide, as Israeli forces bomb schools, shelters, and tents housing displaced families. On July 1, airstrikes killed civilians, including women and children, in areas designated “safe” by the Israeli army, underscoring a pattern of deliberate targeting.

The report calls on the international community to urgently intervene by holding Israel accountable through the International Criminal Court, imposing sanctions including arms embargoes, freezing assets of officials involved, and enforcing travel bans.

Euro-Med stressed the need to prevent the implementation of a US-Israeli plan for the mass expulsion of Palestinians from their land.

“This follows more than 20 months of genocidal crimes, including the killing and wounding of over 200,000 civilians, the destruction of entire towns, the near-total collapse of Gaza’s infrastructure, the eradication of basic living conditions, and systematic internal displacement. All of this has taken place within a broader effort to eliminate the Palestinian community as an entity and existence,” Euro-Med underlined.

Euro-Med concludes that the forced displacement and large-scale destruction in Gaza represent “one of the largest systematic erasures of cities and residential areas in the modern era.”

Palestine protests to German Federal Foreign Office over Minister’s remarks on Palestinian community

BERLIN, July 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Embassy to Berlin on Wednesday submitted a formal protest to the Federal Foreign Office (FFO) over a Federal Minister’s remarks on the Palestinian community in Germany.

The Palestinian Embassy lodged a formal protest with the FFO over the statements made by Karin Prien, German Federal Minister of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, in which she described the Palestinian community in Germany as being “thoroughly radicalized by their respective community” and that education is needed to “push radicals to their limits”.

The Embassy strongly condemned and categorically rejected Prien’s remarks, slamming them as racist and irresponsible remarks that are inconsistent with democratic values.

It added that Prien’s remarks not only contribute to incitement to hatred, but also foment the discriminatory and racist rhetoric, subjecting the Palestinian community to a smear campaign and to the risks of community radicalization.

It further stated that these remarks infringe upon the principles of democracy and pluralism, championed by Germany, and are inconsistent with the principles of human rights, freedom, free speech, and peaceful coexistence.

It demanded that Berlin provide a formal clarification, retract the remarks, and take all other necessary measures in response.

It affirmed that the Palestinian community in Germany is an integral and effective part of the fabric of the German society, and has a considerable history of positive contributions to the German society in various fields, including education, economy, culture, and community work.

Jordan condemns Israeli minister’s call for annexing occupied West Bank

AMMAN, July 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

Jordan on Wednesday strongly condemned an Israeli minister’s call for annexing the occupied West Bank, according to Jordan News Agency (Petra).

It reported that Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced "dangerous" statements by members of the far-right Israeli government, the latest of which was a call by Justice Minister Yariv Levin to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank.

"Such statements are a flagrant violation of international law and Israel's obligations, as the occupying power in the Palestinian territories, and also constitute an unacceptable assault on the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent, sovereign state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with occupied Jerusalem as its capital," said ministry spokesperson Sufyan Al-Qudhah.

He stressed the Jordan’s categorical rejection of these statements, which underlined the Israeli government's extremist policies and ongoing illegal practices in the occupied West Bank, including incursions and colonial settlement construction and expansion.

These are a clear violation of international law, most notably UN Security Council Resolution 2334 and the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice, which emphasized the need to end the Israeli occupation, the illegality of colonial settlement construction, and the invalidity of all measures to annex occupied Palestinian territory, he said.

Al-Qudhah warned of the consequences of escalatory Israeli policies, stressing that all Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank are entirely illegal and null and void.

He called on the international community to take the legal and moral responsibility to compel Israel, the occupying power, to halt its genocidal aggression against Gaza and violations in the West Bank, offer protection to the Palestinians, and fulfill their legitimate rights to an independent state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with occupied Jerusalem as its capital.

"This is the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees security and stability in the region," he concluded.

Egypt condemns Israeli statements regarding imposing sovereignty over West Bank

CAIRO, July 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

Egypt condemned on Wednesday statements made by Israeli officials, including the Israeli Minister of Justice, calling for the annexation of the occupied West Bank and "imposing sovereignty" over it.

In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its absolute rejection of these statements, which it views as contrary to international law.

It said that these comments aim to solidify the illegitimate Israeli occupation of Palestinian land, undermine the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, and prevent the establishment of their independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders, encompassing the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital, thereby embodying the regional unity of all Palestinian territories.

Cairo emphasized its rejection of the blatant Israeli violations in the West Bank, including military incursions, arrests, and the expansion of illegal colonies, noting that this comes in conjunction with ongoing crimes in the Gaza Strip that aim to undermine all aspects of the Palestinian people's livelihood.

It called on the international community to intervene immediately to put an end to these violations against the Palestinian people in their land, stressing the necessity of concerted international efforts to achieve their aspirations, foremost among them the establishment of their independent state on their entire national territory.

Arab-Islamic-African meeting condemns occupation's use of starvation, siege as tools of war against civilians in Gaza

CAIRO, July 2, 2025 (WAFA)--

The Arab League, the African Union, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation affirmed today their absolute rejection and condemnation of the Israeli occupation's use of starvation and siege as tools of war against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.

In an urgent humanitarian appeal after the second consultative meeting of the three organizations, held at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat, the three organizations expressed their deep concern over the deteriorating, serious, and unprecedented humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip, affirming that this suffering is a result of the ongoing crimes of genocide, starvation, comprehensive siege, forced displacement, and systematic destruction committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people since October 2023, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law, relevant UN resolutions, and orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The appeal called for the immediate and permanent opening of all land and sea crossings and for sufficient, sustainable, and unhindered access to humanitarian aid, including food, potable water, fuel, medicines, medical supplies, and shelter centers.

It warned of the repercussions of this situation, which could render the Gaza Strip uninhabitable and lead to the spread of famine and malnutrition.

The three organizations stressed that relief for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is a fundamental, non-negotiable humanitarian right, expressing their rejection of the mechanism for distributing humanitarian aid, which has turned into field execution sites where starving civilians and humanitarian workers are targeted and directly killed while waiting.

They affirmed that this mechanism constitutes a systematic threat to life and reinforces the use of food and humanitarian aid as weapons of war and tools to impose military control and demographic change,  condemning the systematic and comprehensive destruction of civilian infrastructure and life in the Gaza Strip, including hospitals, schools, universities, aid distribution teams, UNRWA warehouses, safe shelters, water and sanitation networks, power generation stations, and the deliberate targeting of patients, wounded, medical and humanitarian teams, and journalists.

They stressed this policy deprives the population of the most basic means of survival and makes the mission of relief organizations impossible,  emphasizing the necessity of enabling UNRWA to exercise its vital role under these exceptional circumstances in the Gaza Strip, especially given the seriousness of UNRWA's current financial situation.

The three organizations called on the international community to exert effective and continuous pressure on Israel, the occupying power, to allow UNRWA and its UN and local partners to operate freely, safely, and without hindrance,  rejecting any attempt to undermine UNRWA's role or transfer its essential tasks to any other party, and called for providing political, financial, and legal support to this UN agency and preserving its existing mandate under relevant UN resolutions.

They warned of the danger of the continued illegal policies of the Israeli occupation in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, through colonial settlement, arbitrary detention, annexation, and the imposition of alleged Israeli sovereignty over it, as well as the storming of cities, villages, and refugee camps, the destruction of homes and infrastructure, the displacement of their residents, and attempts to change the historical and legal status quo of holy sites, especially the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The three organizations called for the immediate and unconditional compliance with the orders of the ICJ and relevant UN resolutions, especially regarding the prevention of acts of genocide, the flow of essential humanitarian aid, and the implementation of UN General Assembly resolutions and UN Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 2735, which calls for a permanent humanitarian ceasefire, the opening of crossings, and ensuring unimpeded entry of aid.

The humanitarian appeal stressed the inevitability of achieving justice and accountability and called on the international community to take all legal and diplomatic measures to ensure the end of impunity,  demanding the urgent formation of an independent and impartial international investigation committee to investigate all grave violations of international law committed in the Gaza Strip, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of genocide, and to determine individual and collective responsibilities.

It called for providing international protection for civilians, including humanitarian and medical workers and journalists, as well as women, children, and the elderly who bear the brunt of this war and constitute the vast majority of the victims,  emphasizing the need to take urgent and decisive measures to ensure their physical and psychological safety and save their lives.

The three organizations affirmed their categorical rejection of any plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land, considering this a grave violation of international law. They also affirmed their support for the Arab-Islamic plan for early recovery and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
